Amazon Finance Manager, US BEATS in Seattle, Washington

Description

The US BEATS (Business, Electronics, Automotive, Technology & Solutions) organization is seeking a talented Finance Manager to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical leadership role by partnering with the category leader to influence strategic decisions in a multi-billion dollar business.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with effective business partnership experience and proven abilities to manage complex projects and dive deep into the details. This person will partner with leaders across several teams including operations, retail category leaders, merchandising and advertising and marketing teams to provide strategic guidance, tactical and strategic direction, and decision support.

Key job responsibilities

  • Serve as a key Finance partner working directly with management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations

  • Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling.

  • Contribute to business decisions by providing insightful analysis and methodical consideration for the end-to-end impact to systems, financial controls and ongoing support requirements.

  • Identify opportunities and drive automation in existing manual process

  • Facilitate financial review meetings with cross functional teams and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.

  • Manage the annual financial planning and quarterly budgeting exercises by providing accurate, complete, and timely forecasts

  • Develop ad hoc business analysis and present insights to senior management on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives.

  • Facilitate Business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
