Blue Origin LLC Financial Analyst III - Lunar Permanence in Seattle, Washington

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, engineers, and program managers, you will join in development of one of our space vehicles as a member of the Lunar Permanence Programs Finance team. We're looking for someone with a passion for the pursuit of safe and repeatable spaceflight as you work daily with key stakeholders within the program and finance teams. You'll drive analysis, process improvement, and reporting to contribute towards financial and programmatic decisions that directly impact the history of space exploration! This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. Responsibilities: Perform financial analysis and reporting to ensure projects are within negotiated and agreed upon budgets Prepare project budgets and provide analysis such as funding profiles, time-phased labor and non-labor expenditure profiles Help build and continuously improve financial models including scenario and sensitivity analysis based on different factors Analyze and identify financial data required to support vehicle tracking Recommend and implement operational improvement measures and identify key financial as well as non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks Creation of content and ability to present data to support program, financial and operations reviews Lead program teams and compile estimate at completion (EACs) at the WBS element and program level Lead metrics and financial performance reviews with the Lunar team Support annual and multi-year financial planning activities Support cost accounting frameworks and processes Data mining across diverse data sets Performs risk & opportunity analyses and provide potential solutions. Work with Lunar team to develop recovery plans Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or analytical field 5+ years of post grad financial analysis experience, to include preparing project budgets and providing analysis such as funding profiles, sales forecasts, time-phased labor and non-labor expenditure, and conducting analysis/reporting to ensure projects are within negotiated and agreed upon budgets Experience with data mining across diverse data sets Excellent written communication and presentation skills Advanced Excel proficiency Experience in helping business managers meet financial targets and deliver results Understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: MBA, or Master's Degree in Finance Experience with cost/schedule integration tools Experience with SQL Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology organizations
