TITLE: Head Data and Marketing Systems
EMPLOYER: Stripe, Inc.
DUTIES: Drive the roadmap and priorities for their team, and work with dependencies across the company to deliver projects and features on schedule and quality; Be deeply involved in designing data flows and system architecture; Support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and stability; Manage processes to help the team do its best work and interface effectively with the rest of the company; Recruit great engineers, in collaboration with company's recruiting team; Develop engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers; Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of engineering management team.
Position supervises 38 employees in roles such as Data Scientist, Data Engineer, and Manager - Data Services.
LOCATION: Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 7 years of Data or Software Engineering experience.
Position also requires the following:
5 years of experience with relational datastores.
5 years of experience in analyzing complex data flows, data processing techniques, data architecture and systems design.
3 years of experience in making trade-offs around latency, scalability, and reliability, knowing how to make incremental investments across these concerns.
3 years of project management experience in keeping processes, team, and multi-month projects on track.
3 years of people management experience with a team of 5-10 reports.
SALARY: $357,851 to $367,851/year and standard employee benefits.
