We are looking for a labor relations business partner-support and services , who will be part of a dedicated cross functional team to provide labor relations support to partners and our leaders throughout retail, manufacturing, and distribution. The function will support local leaders with resources to help lead through union activity with dignity and respect for our partners, while partnering with local leaders and support teams to focus on proactively uplifting the partner experience across North America through activating the most important strategic partner & store initiatives, leveraging analytics & data to generate insights, and acting as an advocate for all partners.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates Starbucks Mission & Values and has a track record of achieving excellence through delivering on priorities, problem-solving, building capability and leadership, and developing high performing teams.

· Knowledge of employment and labor laws such as ADA, FMLA, National Labor Relations Act, etc.

· Responsible for providing labor relations support for labor relations team and their clients to ensure overall objectives are met within the service level agreements and framework.

· Utilizes data, labor relations tools and guidelines to apply processes to support grievance administration, compliance of the CBA in collaboration with labor relations manager and proactive duties.

· Consults with LRBP Seniors and leaders to develop plan of action to ensure service level agreements and drive positive partner relations throughout the company.

· Responsible for providing labor relations support for labor relations team to ensure overall objectives are met within the service level agreements.

· Demonstrates solution-oriented behavior to influence outcomes.

We’d love to hear from people with:

· 1-3 years demonstrated experience in labor relations field, problem resolution and/or counsel and advice to front line managers.

· 1-3 years' experience in Labor Relations/Human Resources.

· 1 year of consulting with internal clients to identify business needs and recommend solutions.

· Ability to adapt and operate as an optimistic change agent.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal communications skills across departments.

· Ability to manage difficult or emotional customers.

· Ability to produce high volume and quality work within contractual deadlines.

· Must have experience in exercising discretionary judgment.

· Able to travel up to 20% of time.

· Proven ability to quickly establish effective working relationships, including by phone or electronic communications rather than face-to-face contact.

· Ability to learn company operations, policies and procedures.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
