Summary / Role Purpose The License Compliance Investigator (LCI) is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities to generate business through license reviews (software audits). The LCI needs to independently analyze account and entitlement data from the CRM, build a License Review case, and provide guidance to the LC Sales Specialist, sales team, and channel partners to secure internal approvals and lead to a resolution of the LC case. Key Duties and Responsibilities Analyze entitlements (assets) and account structure. The LCI will review accounts flagged for license reviews using the CRM and internal and external databases; prepare the account analysis and the materials to request internal approvals; liaise with the external software auditors; prepare the license review reconciliation materials; and liaise with Sales and the LC Specialist to prepare the reconciliation quotations. Prepare documentation to transfer License Reviews to the LC Specialist and/or Software Auditors. Document the account analysis and maintain historical records for all license reviews; find, access and update license review information; and share critical case information across the LC organization. In addition, the LCI will coordinate calls and one-on-ones with the LC Specialist and/or Software Auditors to support the license review process, including reconciliation. Working with a cross-functional team, including external auditors, legal, and Sales and Order Operations, agree on, document, and maintain the license review processes. Coordinate and communicate with the key stakeholders to document in detail the license review process, including analysis phase, approvals, escalations, transfer to/from external auditors, reconciliation, and escalation to 3rd-parties. Coordinate with the software auditors and occasionally directly manage License Review cases. The LCI will support the LC Specialists, software auditors and legal firms to work on and settle LC cases, including generating reports for the software auditors, reviewing the overall strategy of each case, and tracking and reporting on the status of LC cases. In some instances, the LCI will independently work on and settle LC cases, supported by the LC Specialist, Sales and/or channel partners. Prepare and courier License Compliance Letters. After reviewing an account with the LC Specialist or software auditors, the LCI will use templates to prepare license compliance letters and courier and/or e-mail them according to the local License Compliance process. In addition, the LCI will document all communications. Participate in LC calls with the cross-functional team. Participate and, if necessary, coordinate calls with the LC Specialist, Sales, Channel Partners, Legal Firms, Customers and/or software auditors during all the stages of the License Review process. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Fluent in English and in the local language of the territory Must have at least 5 years of work experience in Software Audits Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or Law, or relevant qualification or work experience Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience in License Compliance, Intellectual Property Law, Software Asset Management, Software Audits, and/or relevant Data Analytics Demonstrated integrity and c
