This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of professionals, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and documenting manufacturing processes, inspections, schedules, and tooling. You will share in the team's impact on translating engineering intent and drawings into detailed manufacturing work instructions in support of preparing hardware for test, qualification, and flight. Through constant monitoring of the manufacturing process, you will identify where modifications to the work instructions (or other documents) are required to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of design, assembly, testing, and process improvement. Special Mentions: Shifts available: Day shift (Mon-Fri) Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of proven resourcefulness and execution within sophisticated, constantly evolving manufacturing environments Ability to plan, prepare, and document rocket engine manufacturing processes Coordinate the build sequence and schedule of hardware throughout the entire manufacturing process Identify where modifications to the work instructions (or other documents) are required to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules Organize corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities for the team and help drive these to closure Identify where to implement Blue Origin processes, procedures, and specifications Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure that hardware is manufactured, inspected, packaged, and delivered accurately, on time, and on budget Ability to manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout the entire build and test process Strong self-direction for prioritizing and scheduling work activity in support of the team Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the development and production phases of the product lifecycle Experience with work instruction documentation and BOM structures Exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes (assembly, machining, etc) A.S. degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience Experience in both development and production environments Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $33.38-$46.74 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing
