Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
Order Picking: • Pick orders at least 2 weeks prior to production start date. • Diligently maintain ERP accuracy when transacting parts into work in process (WIP). • Document scrap and material changes to maintain stock and manufacturing order accuracy. • Ensure production has ample raw material to maintain on time builds. • Material prep primarily consists of cutting fabrics and plastics to set dimensions but may include other tasks as required.
Lean Principles and Process Optimization: • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement. • Help identify and implement process improvements throughout the company. • Take initiative to help co-workers when able.
Attendance and Punctuality: • Consistently be at work and arrive on time. • Ensure work responsibilities are sufficiently handed off during absences. • Be a dependable member of the team.
Quality Focus: • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. • Continuously seek ways to improve and promote quality. • Apply feedback constructively to enhance performance. • Monitor your own work to ensure high quality.
Safety and Security: • Adhere to safety and security procedures. • Ability to be on your feet through the workday and lift up to 50 lbs.
Hard Skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Inventory management and accuracy
Pull material to fulfill orders properly
Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
Receive and check incoming pick tickets
Perform material prep to ensure adequate stock levels
Package orders and place them on trucks for delivery
Experience using a forklift and other equipment
Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed
Document orders, materials and any stock movements
Soft Skills
Take initiative to help co-workers when able
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks
Continuously seek ways to improve and promote quality
Apply feedback constructively to enhance performance
Be a dependable member of the team

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Seattle, Washington.
