Insight Global Mechanical Design Verification Engineering Test Specialist in Seattle, Washington
Job Description
Typical Day in the Role:
Collaborating with product design engineers, teammates, and customer experience researchers, theyll work to create, qualify, and execute verification tests for HMD and controller mechanical systems. These include input controls such as triggers and buttons, adjustments for optical and fit elements of headsets, and perceptual qualities such as smoothness and acoustic annoyance. They will collaborate with MDVE leads and engineers to improve existing test systems and conceptualize new test capabilities.
How will performance be measured:
The MDVE Team Mission is to Collaborate in the product development process to validate mechanical design requirements, accelerate design maturity, and verify that performance meets specifications. This role is focused on obtaining performance measurements for verification. Thus, we measure our performance by quality of results, speed of learning, and proactive process improvement.

Skills and Requirements
Top must-have HARD skills:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Ability to consistently execute complex test procedures
Ability to organize and manage inventory of test fixtures and devices
Experience with engineering measurement concepts, devices, and systems
Ability to make sketches, read engineering specifications, and perform common computations Plusses:
Experience with Instron Bluehill Universal testing software
Experience with statistical analysis and design of experiments
Experience with measurement systems qualification (MSA, GR&R) null
