Amazon Principal Technical Program Manager – Machine Learning – Amazon Advertising, Amazon DSP Advertising Science in Seattle, Washington

Are you interested in big data, algorithms, AI, and Machine Learning? Do you enjoy solving complex, high impact problems with high visibility? The PSI team at Amazon Advertising is looking for a TPM leader to drive foundational changes to how digital ads are served.

Amazon Advertising is driving next-generation solutions that enable advertisers to reach customers across our owned and operated sites, on other high-quality publisher sites across the web, and on millions of desktops, mobile, and connected TV devices. The PSI team develops algorithms and systems to improve the performance and delivery of advertising campaigns, and automates campaign management using machine learning techniques. We develop and own high performance, petabyte-scale distributed systems to optimize ad selection, bidding and campaign performance.

The advertising industry is going through massive changes to better support user privacy. At Amazon we are making foundational changes to how digital ads are served in the coming years. We are looking for an exceptional TPM leader to work at the edge of science, engineering and business and drive critical, large scale initiatives spanning the entire advertising organization. You will work backwards from customers, collaborate with a large number of stakeholders from across the organization and deliver world class solutions. You will work on multiple high visibility projects and deliver massive business impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
