Description
The Planning Analytics and Workforce Strategies (PAWS) team within the Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) org owns workforce planning integration and strategic support for the Amazon Fresh fulfillment business. The AGL PAWS team develops and manages a Workforce Planning mechanisms and product suite that solves for the unique challenges and requirements of ultrafast businesses via customizable, operator-friendly tools and processes.
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven success to own key aspects of Grocery workforce planning/management. A highly analytical candidate with project management experience is an ideal fit, as this role will require cross-functional partnership with multiple operational and technical teams (Workforce Planning, Field Ops, Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Analytics, Data Engineering, Workforce Staffing, Change Enablement, Tech, Finance , HR, Legal and other teams as applicable) to lead, influence and support business critical projects and initiatives.
Due to the nature of the business, you will also be expected to interact internally with senior-level audiences to provide updates and make strategic recommendations that will achieve the long-term vision for optimal balance between associate experience and business/customer needs. Documentation of requirements, project management and cross-team coordination skills are essential.
Key job responsibilities
Designing and modeling new operations processes for developing business needs to prove quality, cost, and scalability goals as critical outputs.
Gathering and analyzing data across order fulfillment functions to establish global standards for operations in partnership with cross functional teams.
Rethinking the grocery offerings we provide to customers to optimize for speed, convenience, and cost.
Building strong partnership with operations field leaders to understand improvement opportunities.
Analyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward solves.
Leading project teams to plan, organize, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes.
Innovating to improve customer experience and continuously remove cost from our fulfillment network.
Designing new metrics and enhancing existing metrics to support the future state of the business.
Working autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
Developing, implementing, reporting and governing KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
Rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of program or project management experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
Knowledge of SQL
Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
Experience with SQL
Experience in workforce planning or workforce management, particularly within a retail or warehouse context
Experience leading and owning cross-functional programs (design, development, implementation, maintenance and optimization)
Experience managing multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously
Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL, QuickSight/Tableau, and MS Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
