Description Recreational Therapist at Providence ElderPlace (PACE) in the West Seattle, WA area. Schedule: Mon-Fri, Day shift Job Description: The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his assigned group of participants. Assists with training and supervising assigned volunteers. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: Recreation Therapy Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Upon hire: Washington Recreational Therapist Registration Or Upon hire: National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification - if practicing within this state Preferred Qualifications: Two years: Providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.
