Mountain Rose Herbs, founded in 1987, leads the industry in providing sustainable, organic herbs, teas, essential oils and more to our customers in both the US and Canada. We serve clients through e-commerce, wholesale and retail channels. Our retail locations are growing, and we are expanding to the Seattle area!

 

Mountain Rose Herbs is seeking Retail Team Members to join our new location!  The Retail Team Member must have exceptional customer service skills, herbal/aromatherapy knowledge, a cheerful demeanor, the ability to multitask, and the ability to professionally interact with customers in all circumstances.

 

This is a part-to-full-time, fast-paced position at 30 -- 40 hours per week.  The position will have varying work hours which will include nights, holidays, and the commitment to consistently work weekends.

Some of the Key Responsibilities of the Retail Team Member:

  • Follow MRH procedures and protocols, including policies set for the retail locations.
  • Possess familiarity with print catalog/journal and the website. Correctly use databases, filing systems, and electronic inventory systems to complete assigned tasks and assist customers.
  • Learn product codes and company policies including standard responses to queries.
  • Expand herbal/natural product knowledge and knowledge of MRH product line to effectively answer product questions.
  • Remain up to date on all products, including new products and product changes.
  • Professionally and efficiently handle customers face to face and over the phone.
  • Handle money transactions correctly; calculate totals, various discounts for sales, and record sales correctly.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience through interactions with customers and store presentation to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Follow protocols for safety concerns and theft mitigation and report issues to the Store Manager ASAP.
  • Develop a basic understanding of other department processes: Claims & Returns, Wholesale, QC, etc.
  • Communicate with multiple departments (via email, chat, and phone) to answer questions, check quantities and other information that is shared daily.
  • Gain proficiency in numerous computer applications such as the POS system, MS Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
  • Maintain store cleanliness to provide a safe and clean environment for staff and customers.
  • Assist with the creation, maintenance, pricing, and stocking of the store as directed.
  • Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
