UW Medical Center-Northwest - Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Full Time Registered Nurse .

WORK SCHEDULE

• 40 hours per week / 100% FTE

• Monday - Friday

• Day shifts only DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION In fall 2024 our Rheumatology Clinic and Allergy Clinic will combine into one multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art practice. Our Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology Clinic will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of auto-immune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus and other inflammatory illnesses. Our clinic will also provide specialized consultations for asthma, food and drug allergies, and immunodeficiency disorders. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine patient assessments

• Administer allergy shots and injections

• Administer epinephrine during allergic reactions

• Handle phone triage

• Answer patient calls and MyChart messages

• Manage prescriptions and referrals

• Provide nursing advice in person, via phone and via telehealth

• Educate patients and their families on ongoing allergy needs REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of ambulatory nursing experience, preferably in allergy care

• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
