National Power, LLC Senior Construction Project Manager in Seattle, Washington

Job Summary: National Power is seeking a skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from inception to completion.

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Manage and lead project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and address issues.

  • Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

  • Resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the construction process.

    Subcontractor Coordination:

  • Selection and Hiring: Identify and select qualified subcontractors for various aspects of the project. Negotiate contracts and ensure that all subcontractors understand the project requirements and timelines.

  • Coordination and Supervision: Oversee the work of subcontractors to ensure it aligns with project plans and quality standards. Facilitate communication between subcontractors and other project team members to resolve any issues.

  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess the performance of subcontractors, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality expectations. Address any performance issues promptly to keep the project on track.

    RFI Management:

  • RFI Processing: Manage the RFI process by reviewing and responding to RFIs from subcontractors and other stakeholders. Ensure that all RFIs are addressed in a timely manner to avoid project delays.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all RFIs, including responses and any resulting changes to the project scope or plans. Ensure that all relevant parties are informed of RFI outcomes.

  • Issue Resolution: Work with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or questions raised through RFIs. Ensure that solutions are implemented effectively.

    Submittal Management:

  • Submittal Review: Oversee the submittal process, ensuring that all materials, products, and equipment meet project specifications and standards. Review and approve submittals from subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Tracking and Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive log of all submittals, including their status and any required revisions. Ensure that all submittals are processed efficiently to avoid project delays.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with the design team and other stakeholders to ensure that submittals are reviewed and approved in a timely manner. Address any discrepancies or issues that arise during the submittal process.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around construction sites for extended periods.

  • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 pounds].

  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.

  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding as needed.

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management.

  • Proven experience managing construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.

    Additional Info:

     

  • Criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and MVR required.

  • This is a remote position requiring travel.
