Harborview Medical Center - Facilities and Capital Development has an outstanding opportunity to hire an SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER .

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week, Day Shift

  • Mondays - Fridays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM POSITION HIGHLIGHTS - Accountable for the planning, design, construction and closeout phases of facilities and other capital projects of varying size, scale and complexity for the Harborview campus.- Assist in managing the Facilities and Capital Development contracts for A&E professional services and construction related services.- Work throughout the 2 million square foot campus and interact with designers, contractors, consultants, administrative and front-line staff, managers, hospital leadership, engineering, construction services, infection prevention, environmental services and other departments. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Facilities and Capital Development Division, a Team of highly motivated and diverse individuals that are driven by Harborview’s mission to serve the most vulnerable residents of King County. Harborview is on the precipice of a $1.7B New Tower expansion, funded by a King County bond measure that was passed by the voters in 2020. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In partnership with Facilities and Capital Development leaders, you will serve as the project leader for all phases of assigned facility and capital projectsManage multiple projects with varying schedules, budgets and other constraintsBuild relationships with all key stakeholders, vendors, suppliers and contractors to support project objectivesResponsible to maintain project controls and documentation throughout project lifecyclesProvide accurate monthly reporting to Division leadership on managed projectsProvide mentorship to Divisional support staff as neededCoordinate with Facility Engineering leads and other stakeholders to review plans, specifications and building standards for project compliance throughoutCoordinate system shutdowns, tie-ins, etc as warranted with Facility Engineering to support ongoing operations and project advancementDirect, review, negotiate and approve A/E/C additional work requests and pay applicationsCoordinate the procurement, delivery and installation of Owner items (FFE, MME, signage, etc)Direct and manage multiple contractors with various contractual arrangementsOther duties as assigned REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering10+ years progressive experience in construction project management – occupied healthcare experience preferredExperienced professional managing multiple, overlapping projects and teamsExperienced in creating and managing project budgets, contracts and driving scheduleAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environmentAnalytical and problem-solving skills a mustExcellent work ethic and strong organizational skillsSkilled in communications and able to work with people in a tactful and diplomatic manner, using good judgment, while exercising discretion and sensitivityProficient in Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam and other project management platforms ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
