WSP USA Senior Consultant, Project Controls in Seattle, Washington
This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Consultant, Project Controls for our Seattle-WA or Tacoma-WA office. Be involved in projects with our Transportation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
In this opportunity, the ideal candidate will provide senior technical support for multiple project controls functions including scheduling, estimating, cost control, risk management, document control, and utilization of project management information systems.
Our Transportation Team provides project management and engineering services for transportation infrastructure and supports WSP's projects around the world. The Transportation Team works on multiple projects simultaneously, in close coordination with other technical departments.

Your Impact
Responsible for supporting Transportation project managers, programs, and projects.
Develop and update schedules.
Support project teams with budget development, monitoring, Estimate to Completes (ETCs), and recovery plans, if applicable.
Take lead in assisting project managers with change management, such as documenting scope changes or scope additions.
Draft contract change orders.
Support subcontract development and amendments.
Develop and monitor deliverables matrices to verify contract compliance and verify Estimate to Completes.
Assist in the development of Project Controls reporting needs and tools.
Provide continuous project management and quality improvement.
Monitor project progress, claims, and invoices/payments.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in civil design and/or construction, transportation, and other related projects.
Well-developed experience in establishing project control systems and procedures and developing project reports and documentation.
Coordinate project-related tasks, events, and meetings.
Maintain project-related files and documents.
Prepare project-related meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
Display excellence when identifying and resolving problems which may require the development of new and improved techniques and procedures.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other project scheduling software.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by project needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Background knowledge of design and construction industry.
Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet project needs.
Preparation of written correspondence and presentations, as directed by the Project Manager.
Ability to learn how to navigate, use, and train others on enterprise systems.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $99,800 - $145,530
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
