The Senior Program Manager of Strategic Projects will oversee programs that have direct, tangible, and material impacts on the entire Amazon Fresh P&L. This position will work closely with the Amazon Fresh Finance, Vendor Management, and retail operations teams and will represent the Vendor Experience team in meetings with Senior Leadership across the Amazon Fresh and Core Consumables organization. This position will be the single-threaded leader responsible for delivering key insights on Vendor Financials and Net Profitability as well as for creating the process and resource infrastructure that supports continuous improvements in Vendor Funding at Amazon Fresh. This position will also own partnering with Tech and Non-Tech teams across Amazon as a whole to continuously drive improvements in business integrations and reporting for the Amazon Fresh Organization. They will use their deep understanding of data paired with their nuanced knowledge of Vendor Financials to partner with stakeholders across numerous teams to deliver solutions that scale with the business and have cross-organization impacts.
Successful candidates will have deep experience in Program Management, P&L Management, and in building solutions based on in-depth analysis of complex data. Candidate experience should cover project management, business requirement documentation, process design, business management, and user acceptance testing responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in leading stakeholders across different teams to deliver solutions to unusually complex challenges is expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Program Manager, you will:
• Own and Manage: You’ll own and manage lifecycle activities from beginning to end (planning, requirements gathering, technology team partnerships, UAT planning and performance, project closing, and stakeholder engagement) for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Automate: You’ll work on automation projects and lead the coordination of designing processes and tools to make continual improvements in Net Profitability for the Amazon Fresh organization
• Improve Processes: You will build new processes and improve existing processes utilized by the Amazon Fresh organization to track, collect, and secure vendor funding.
• Consult: You’ll operate as a valued consultant to partner with many different stakeholder teams across the entire Amazon organization.
• Make Decisions: You’ll be an empowered, impactful decision maker who drives the direction of projects to completion.
• Collaborate: You’ll collaborate with Amazonians of diverse backgrounds and on various business teams.
About the team
The Vendor Experience team works with every part of the Amazon Fresh organization in order to provide vendor negotiations, vendor engagement, and vendor funding programs that support Amazon Fresh in delivering the best customer experience while also continuously improving retail controllable profitability. This team provides the process, tooling, and strategic infrastructure that supports category teams across the entire Amazon Fresh organization in building and maintaining strong vendor relationships and driving continuous improvement in profitability.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
3+ years of leading large complex programs experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
