POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Supply Planning, will be the primary lead for the division, representing the function. In this role, you will ensure supply through coordination of the supply planning team and cross functional stakeholders to align on tradeoffs and key decisions related to supply constraints, gaps, business scenarios, and tradeoffs.

This role serves as the voice of the function to the division and vice versa, communicating with the functional teams and the extended Supply Chain Leadership Team. Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence are necessary throughout the MBP/IBP Process to optimize product availability, long-term strategy, and total delivered cost.

This individual interacts with and influences key stakeholders within the division, as well as the entire end-to-end planning and operations team. Regular collaboration will occur with divisional leadership teams, business supply chain directors, supply planning, demand planning, distribution planning, finance, commercial, and operations teams. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Planning expertise and strategic guidance to the division around supply availability, operational constraints, customer prioritization and product renovation/innovation, including customization.

  • Builds and maintains a strong partnerships across Commercial and Operational Teams, supporting functional and divisional leadership for S&OP/MBP/IBP processes. Participating or Facilitating key meetings as needed to create the business plans, align on operational plans, and drive key decisions necessary around gaps and tradeoffs.

  • Plans and manages business unit conversations, influencing strategies and ensuring programs are aligned between company business objectives, and broader functional strategies.

  • Manage Division facing communication and narratives for reporting of key planning outputs and scorecards, ensuring risks and opportunities are shared proactively.

  • Manages Function facing communication ensuring strategic plans, and business risks and opportunities are translated and shared proactively to be appropriately considered in the function.

  • Execute plans to achieve and exceed customer service, working capital, and waste.

  • Collaborate, build, and maintain relationships with key cross functional partners (procurement, technical and production, Intermarket Supply, etc.) to identify and capitalize on opportunities in the supply plan.

  • Drive Continuous Excellence behaviors within the team, embedding a root cause analysis and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Develop and guide implementation of recommended standardization and be a change agent across supply planning.

  • Build, steer, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve core business objectives and resolve complex business problems.

  • Identify and drive process improvement and productivity projects within business scope and across functions, allocating resources from the team as needed.

  • Monitor and manage resource allocation within the team for core and project work to ensure efficient execution and staff development in line with people development and performance.

  • Responsible for Divisional Communication such as Projected Out of Stock, Forecast Projections, Inventory Levels, and Physical/Logistical Capacity Management.

  • Act as the first point of contact for communication of Supply Planning and issue resolution with the commercial team, factories, physical logistics, and other markets.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring for a team of Planners to ensure the right career development is prioritized and focus placed on functional competency improvements

  • Responsible for succession planning, and actively engaged in HR Lifecycle activities with the team.

FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT:

This role has a significant impact on business specific KPIs to improve customer service levels and reduce total delivered costs, while improving efficiency and eliminating non-value adding activities.

  • Works within a matrix organizational structure with responsibility to the supply chain planning organization

  • Works collaboratively with Demand Planning, Value Stream Planning, Integrated Fulfillment, Deployment, DRP, CFSC, Commercial, and Customer Service teams.

  • Position receives supervision from the Sr. Supply Planning Director on dealing with unusual planning and inventory management situations which may develop.

REQUIREMENTS & MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Supply Chain Management field, Industrial Engineering or Business-related field

  • Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data, problem solve and develop solutions to complex problems.

  • Working knowledge of CPG S&OP Processes and interactions including demand forecasting, supply planning, and commercial interactions around PFME, promotions, and pricing preferred

  • Experience with Operational Planning for capacity and inventory planning and optimization across variety of make/source scenarios across internal factories, Co-Manufacturing, and intermarket supply preferred.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills, organizational and time-management abilities, inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives on tight deadlines and delegate accordingly

  • Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8+ years Production Planning, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or Operations experience.

  • Previous people leadership strongly preferred

SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel software

  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP and/or OMP is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and manage key stakeholders

  • Able to work in an empowered team environment

  • Must have excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work-groups

  • Demonstrated taking initiative and taking prompt, self-directed action to accomplish KPI objectives.

The approximate pay range for this position is $160,000- $185,000 base salary. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
