Description
Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workday Analyst to join a client in the Construction Industry for upcoming projects related to and impacting Workday HCM (Human Capital Management). As the Senior Workday Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing complex Workday projects while ensuring alignment with business needs, technical functionality, and system improvements. You will act as the sole senior resource for the Workday HCM-related projects, working closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
Project Management & Coordination
Serve as the sole Senior Workday Analyst for key Workday HCM projects, defining project goals, roadmaps, and validation rules.
Create and maintain cohesive project plans, ensuring that projects run efficiently and meet key milestones.
Run configurations within the Workday system and manage execution of projects from start to finish.
Analyze and modify the system to meet evolving business needs and requirements.
Act as a liaison between system administrators, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
Identify issues or errors within the Workday system, develop project plans to address them, and lead the resolution process.
Develop and manage project timelines, test scripts, and shepherd the process through completion.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
Work closely with defined internal stakeholders (including HR teams) and executive leadership to drive project execution.
Support problem-solving and solutioning efforts by leveraging your expert knowledge of Workday.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met, and expectations are exceeded.
Guide and educate non-technical stakeholders on technical product features and solutions.
Project Planning & Execution
Build detailed project plans for Workday HCM implementations, ensuring timely execution.
Take ownership of resource allocation, managing timelines, and tracking project milestones.
Understand and manage the implementation of newly acquired Workday features such as Workday Prism, Adaptive, and Extend, ensuring they align with business goals.
Collaborate with the Human Resources team and other non-technical groups to ensure seamless integration of technical and business processes.
Data Management & Migration
Lead efforts for data handling and migration to ensure data integrity and alignment with business needs.
Manage the successful migration of data within the Workday system as needed.
Requirements
Expert-level knowledge of Workday and Workday HCM business processes.
Proven experience managing complex projects, including resource allocation, requirements gathering, and managing timelines and milestones.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Significant experience working with executive stakeholders and managing projects with internal and external technology teams.
Expert-level experience in data handling, migration, and integration within Workday.
Soft Skills:
High level of patience and empathy for stakeholders who are not highly technical.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with moving parts.
Flexibility to handle changes and adapt to new systems or processes that may not be fully standardized.
Excellent communication skills to tactfully engage with leadership and guide non-technical teams through the process.
Strong problem-solving abilities and vision to identify and implement optimal Workday solutions.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Workday Talent Management functionality.
Familiarity with UKG Work Force Management and UKG Pro.
Knowledge of Workday integration concepts.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
