Splunk, Inc. Software Engineer in Seattle, Washington
Software Engineer (N967): Working independently, design & develop software applications or systems. Develop backend and front end and Software Development Kits (SDKs). Develop and own moderate complexity features or sub-systems. Break down complex tasks and estimates into sprint sized software deliverables. Automate effective test cases and make necessary test framework improvements as required. Develop code considering subsystem reusability, modularity, and scaling as part of design. Work on incidents, customer escalations as part of weekly on-call rotation and remediate those issues within specified SLOs. Work on sub-system design/code reviews and be recognized as the go-to developer for that feature. Participate in design discussions, propose, and discuss solutions to system and product changes that are directly related to the product being worked on. Build cloud identity and security services. Build relationships with cross functional teams. Attend customer engagements/escalations and deliver feedback. Write software and operationalize it for deployment to Cloud services, using container ecosystem tools like Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes. Code utilizing object-oriented languages such as Go, Python, and JavaScript and continue to learn new languages as needed.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in computer science or a related field and 3 years of work experience in the position offered or in a software-related occupation. Education or experience must include: TLS and X.509 Digital Certificates; AWS or Azure or GCP; Docker; C++; Postgres or MongoDB; Writing modular and testable code; Lifecycle Management of Digital Secrets or AWS KMS; and Handling TLS connection lifecycle management for any distributed service at high traffic volumes with high availability.
Job Location: Seattle, WA
