Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Product Compliance Tools Manager to help drive development and adoption of innovative compliance-focused services. This position will support AWS’s product compliance function covering thousands of internal use data center and customer-focused hardware products. This role will be responsible for multiple services aimed at automating and scaling AWS’s compliance operations to support the development, export, and import of high volumes of equipment on a global scale. Direct interface will be with various parts of the product compliance team and an internal tech function.

You will report to the Senior Manager for Global Product Compliance and be part of a Product & Change Management function within AWS’s Global Trade and Product Compliance team (GTPC) that ensures that all equipment procured for use in AWS data centers, as well as equipment sold or provided to customers, satisfies global regulatory requirements.

GTPC is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure equipment necessary to support the AWS services are imported/exported in a compliant manner across the multiple countries where AWS operates and will expand, including all product certification/safety regulations.

Key job responsibilities

• Have direct ownership and accountability for the development of new services and tools.

• Interface with the internal Regulatory Compliance, Compliance Engineering, and Compliance Operations teams to assess and prioritize needs for new tools and services and develop requirements.

• Work directly with the GTPC Tech team to scope and design solutions and support development and testing of the solutions.

• Coordinate and direct adoption and implementation of new tools and services within our compliance workflows.

• Coordinate with tech focals within other GTPC teams (export, import operations, trade strategy) to drive synergy across the GTPC tech roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

• Experience with Product or Trade Compliance (or similar areas of compliance)

• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

• Experience with end to end product delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree/certification in six sigma, product management, or related disciplines

• Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

• Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

• Experience owning technology products

• Proven track record of delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives while balancing multiple competing priorities

• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
