Amazon Sr Product Manager Technical, Interactive Ad Experiences in Seattle, Washington

Description

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced product manager to invent new experiences that inspire and enable millions of consumers to engage with brands on Streaming TV. The digital capabilities of Streaming provide Amazon the opportunity to lead the industry transforming Advertising on TV, by inventing new experiences whether that is on-screen or on the second screen.

In this role you will work with Advertisers, Research, UX and analyze data, to deeply understand our customers unmet needs and opportunities. You will work with UX, engineers and internal partners to develop a product vision and then lead the initiatives from experiment to launch. This will require a combination of outstanding leadership, thought clarity, analytical skills, cross-functional partnership, business model analysis, and strategic thinking to innovate on behalf of our customers. You "think big, start small" and are excited about the prospect of building new products from scratch and scaling it to meet future, unforeseen customer needs and business opportunities. You are comfortable having both technical and strategic design conversations with senior engineering and product leaders. You also have a proven track record of owning and delivering world-class experiences for brands that raise-the-bar from an innovation, usability, and design perspective. Lastly, you deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced, dynamic business environment and are comfortable exercising judgment across a spectrum of highly diverse problems.

Key job responsibilities

• Work backwards and deeply understand the needs of of consumers and advertisers.

• Define the product vision, strategy and roadmap, working with internal and key partner teams.

• Define and run experiments, working closely with software engineering, design, and business stakeholders to iteratively deliver on your vision.

• Actively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

• Strong attention to detail and end-to-end ownership

• Must be able to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities

• Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

About the team

The Interactive Ads Experiences team is part of Amazon Ads. Our vision to help marketers tell their brand story through Streaming TV, influence consumers to buy from the brand wherever they are, and eventually convert these into customers when they are ready to purchase. We unlock meaningful connections and deepen engagement between brands and consumers, as we take viewers from their living room device to the second screen.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience defining and launching Advertising products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

  • Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
