We are looking for Sr. Software Developer, Mobile (Sr. SDE) to join our team and contribute to the development of our cross-platform mobile applications. You will play a crucial role in building high-quality, performant, and engaging user experiences for AWS events' attendees.
Your role will be instrumental in delivering seamless, high-performance applications that enhance the way attendees interact, learn, and connect at AWS events with events attended by up to 60K users.
About You
You are a passionate and experienced Senior Software Developer specializing in mobile development. You thrive on solving complex, large-scale problems that push the boundaries of what's been done before. Your creative thinking and technical expertise drive you to continuously expand your knowledge and become a mobile development authority. You are driven to work collaboratively with a high-performing team to disrupt the mobile app development landscape through innovative technologies. Continuous learning, challenging yourself and your teammates, and directly engaging with customers and partners to shape the vision for code quality, design, and architecture of the mobile app rendering stack are essential motivators for you.
Key job responsibilities
Full stack development of mobile applications, using cross-platform development technologies like React Native. Architect and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications. Lead projects and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, develop, test and launch innovative application experience. Drive the product vision and translate business requirements into customer-facing features that delight attendees. Enhance and optimize existing software components, ensuring reliability and maintainability of the codebase through continuous refactoring and performance optimization. Provide mentorship to other engineers. Ensure mobile applications comply with security, data protection, accessibility standards, and App Store/Play Store guidelines

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
