UW Medicine’s Finance Business Systems (FBS) has an outstanding opportunity for a SYSTEMS ANALYST – GLOBAL HEALTHCARE EXCHANGE (GHX) Work Schedule

Telework Option Available DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine’s Finance Business Systems (FBS) team supports and enhances financial systems across the organization. Collaborating with UW Medicine Finance and IT staff, the team plays a key role in optimizing the enterprise Workday ERP system, managing GHX integrations, and maintaining auxiliary applications critical to UW Medicine’s operations.
Operating within a dynamic and complex environment, the FBS team works across clinical, business, and administrative workflows to deliver seamless system operations, foster collaboration, and implement innovative technical solutions that support organizational goals.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Support and enhance enterprise financial systems, including Workday ERP and GHX integrations.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, IT, Supply Chain Management, and other departments.
Deliver robust, scalable technical solutions by analyzing, designing, and implementing systems and integrations. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Systems Analysis
Monitor several integrations with GHX for error conditions. Perform analysis of individual EDI transaction files, reviewing each segment to determine root cause of the error. Triage each error as needed by process definition
Participate in design of database solution to contain detailed GHX error data to facilitate tracking of individual errors and analytics of error data over time. Act as point person for maintaining data within the database
Analyze and understand business requirements and collaborate with application development teams, business teams, and key stakeholders to design robust, scalable, operational, system solutions including data products
Define and document requirements for system, application, databases and integrations
Read, process and understand the contents of various data file formats including, but not limited to: XML, JSON and CSV.
Use development and database tools to further analyze and advance the understanding of business processes
Create and maintain future state system and data flow diagrams
Maintain documentation library and ensure completeness and accuracy for each system
Support engineering teams to provide accurate guidance to their build and test efforts
Help manage requirements through their lifecycle
Facilitate working sessions with a wide range of stakeholders, subject matter experts, and project staff
Assist with the development of test cases
Help manage test execution and track agreed to design changes
Technical Support (40%) Technical Support
Maintain and support systems in the FBS portfolio
Act as primary point of contact for Finance and Accounting users of these systems; respond to requests for help and take ownership of resolving these issues
Interacts regularly with administrators, directors, managers, and supervisors to achieve divisional information technology goals.
Provides installation, configuration, analysis, and debugging services for software managed by UW
Medicine Finance Business Systems.
Performs data analysis, using SQL, Excel, reports, and other tools, in support of systems and applications managed by UW Medicine Finance Business Systems.
Collaborates with centralized I.T. resources to provide Windows desktop support for users at UW
Medicine Finance locations.
Manage Active Directory group membership to provide access to file shares and applications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in a technological, business or related field.
4+ years performing complex work in system analysis, preferably in the context of Enterprise Resource Planning systems
4+ years supporting EDI integrations to/from Enterprise Resource Planning systems
2+ years Windows desktop support experience including advanced Windows OS and MS Office applications experience
2+ years of C#, Python, SQL or other advanced programming languages
2+ years MS SQL Server experience
Experience working with a wide range of data collection, analysis, and visualization tools
Ability to present complex technical material to non-technical audiences in an approachable way
Experience in problem/incident managementOR
