New Shepard is a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Karman line - the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space. As part of a hardworking team of diverse experts, you will build and deliver training scenarios for launch crew members, ensuring they are prepared for both regular and emergency procedures. Your role will involve setting objectives, planning and conducting training, and assessing readiness for launch operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plan and conduct simulation training sessions for New Shepard launch crews as the Simulation Supervisor (SimSup). Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure simulation scenarios align with current operational procedures and system designs. Develop and validate nominal, off-nominal, emergency, and compound failure scenarios for crew training. Assist in the development and updating of technical and soft-skills training materials, including manuals, presentations, and interactive content. Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation training programs based on trainee feedback and operational needs. Participate in debriefing sessions to analyze simulation results and identify areas for improvement in procedures or training methods. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S in engineering, or equivalent 3 years of experience in defining, developing, validating, and conducting training for safety-critical operations Experience authoring training plans for a real-time, safety critical operational environment Engineering and/or operational experience with complex aerospace vehicles and systems Strong communication skills from control room environments Ability to travel to the West Texas launch site up to 20% Proven track record of working successfully with a diverse multi-disciplinary team Experience in a real-time, safety critical operational environment Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications: M.S. in Engineering, or equivalent experience Previous experience as a Flight Controller, Flight Test Engineer, Aircrew, or in a control room environment. Knowledge of human factors and Crew Resource Management concepts. Experience with training management systems and e-learning platforms.
