Seattle Children’s Hospital Vice President, Patient Care & Associate Chief Nursing Officer in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities The Vice President, Patient Care and Associate Chief Nursing Officer is a key member of the Senior Leadership team responsible for leading, directing and evaluating nursing and patient care services throughout Seattle Children's Directs and integrates continuous improvement and innovation methodologies intended to increase the quality and safety of patient care, the experience of the care provided, and the professional growth of the nursing practice and nursing leadership. Develops, implements and evaluates strategic planning, polices and programs, care delivery and the identification and allocation of financial, human and capitol resources required to meet current and anticipated patient care needs. Establishes and sustains productive working relationships with the medical staff, faculty labor union leadership, and with community. Provides oversight to the nursing and related patient care staffing services, including approval for the deployment of staffing intended to meet anticipated patient needs. Requirements Required Education/Experience: - Master's degree or above in Nursing. May be substituted with a Master's in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field provided the candidate also possesses a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Required Credentials: - State of Washington Registered Nurse License. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Current PEARS or PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of BLS. - National certification in nursing leadership obtained within three years. - A copy of graduate degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of Master's degree in nursing is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. If Master's degree is in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field, a copy of the degrees or transcripts indicating attainment of a Master's degree and Bachelor's in Nursing degree is to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. If Master's degree is in process, a copy of the Bachelor's degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a notation of expected Master's completion date is to be on file with Human Resources upon hire. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or transcripts indicating attainment of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a notation of expected Master's completion date is to be on file with Human Resources upon hire. Preferred: - Doctorate of Nursing Practice or PhD - Executive experience in an academic medical setting - Knowledge of the Magnet process Min to Max Annual Salary$265,000. 00 - $425,000.00 /yrSalary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided. The union pay ranges can be found on the Seattle Children's website here: - Seattle Children's offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
