We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Service Technician and Systems Installer to join our team in Sedalia. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the security field, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to our mission of safeguarding our clients.
Responsibilities: Install, service and test many electronics systems - including security and fire alarm systems, security cameras, access control systems and business telephone systems. Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service. Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement through on-the-job and online training. Collaborate effectively with other technicians and office staff. Maintain thorough attention to detail and ensure all required information is updated accurately. Adhere to our strict no-smoking policy on all company and customer properties, including company vehicles. Demonstrate problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Requirements: Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to use a ladder and lift, comfortable with heights. Reliable transportation to work. Successful completion of a background check and drug screening. Flexibility of working hours for specific jobs to arrive early or work late, on occasion. Class E drivers license (can be obtained after hire). Basic toolset, a non-exhaustive list including a tool bag, drill, voltmeter, screwdriver set, wire cutters and strippers.
Preferred Experience: Experience with low-voltage electronic systems. Proficiency with hand tools and ability to drill holes, mount devices, and run wires neatly. Familiarity with construction and basic electronics. Ability to read floor plans, electrical job plans, and simple electrical schematics. Knowledge of computer networking, including addressing and subnetting. Competence with computers (Windows and Mac) and smart devices (Android and iOS). Experience with Google Suite, including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, for accurate report completion. NICET certification preferred but not required
