As the Customer Development Manager, you are responsible for achieving sustainable growth in sales, profitability, market share and product distribution. You will also play a crucial role in strengthening organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

We are looking for a Regional Team Lead - Indirect Trade (IDT) who is responsible for developing and supporting the partnership between Colgate and the distributors/ customers in the assigned geography to deliver net sales, volume, distribution, NPAT and market share targets.

You will:

  • Manage a team of Customer Development Managers/ Associate Managers in building relationships with key contacts (e.g., distributors, store managers) and providing customers with objective and credible analysis of their business in order to ensure that accounts carry an excellent portfolio of Colgate products that receive optimal exposure at the retail store level

  • Monitor activity at store level and communicating category, product (e.g., pricing, product assortment, and placement) and competitor's information to internal stakeholders to enable proactive response with new strategies and tactics

  • Manage team's objectives (within the local priorities, Customer Development Strategy and Global Customer Strategy framework) in line with the mission and goals, while building CP’s & the Customer’s mutual business and to satisfy target consumer/shopper needs

  • Define the specific roles of individuals within the tea m, promote teamwork and ensure the team is motivated to deliver results

  • Establish specific KPIs and ensuring tracking methods and communication are in place to review the progress and alignment towards overall company goals, set and refine specific action plans for each team member to support their achievement

  • Provide coaching and feedback and ensuring adequate training to team members; evaluating performance and developing IDPs, advise on career paths and provide opportunities for development, acting as a role model and reinforcing desired behaviors

  • Communicate the team perspective to subsidiary commercial and business planning processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in distributor management, preferably in a multinational FMCG company with leading brands

  • Strong stakeholder management skills
