YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg 2 Year Old Lead Teacher, Bardmoor YMCA Preschool Academy in Seminole, Florida
Must have the following in order to apply:
- High school diploma or Equivalent,
- CDA or CDA equivalent
- Completed MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Parts 1 2)
- Six (6) months to one year pre-school teaching experience
- Verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of outdoor activities and school based programming.
Required Screenings: Drug Testing/Screening (Pre-Employment); Background Checks; Will be discussed with applicant; Drug Free Workplace.
Job Description: Full-time Preschool Lead Teacher for our early learning center participants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides customer service.
- Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.
- Leads activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
- Establishes and enforces rules
- Supervising mealtimes, playground times and free play.
- Conducts parent conferences and maintains relationships and verbal and written communication with parents.
- Engages parents as volunteers.
- Maintains required program records.
- Lift up to 40lbs
- Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
