We are seeking a highly motivated Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist to join our team in Sered'. This role is essential in ensuring the effective implementation and sustainability of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies within our operations, specifically focusing on our partnership with 3PL companies.

Please note this is a maternity leave coverage fixed-term contract.

You main missions will be following:

  • Leadership & Implementation: Lead the implementation and ongoing use of Continuous Improvement tools across various projects to optimize operational efficiency and achieve organizational goals.

  • Gemba Walks: Conduct regular Gemba walks on the shop floor and warehouse to identify opportunities for improvement and implement these in collaboration with our 3PL partners.

  • Co-Packing Optimization: Work closely with our co-packing partner to enhance productivity in the co-packing process, ensuring efficient handling of raw materials and finished goods.

  • Before & After Analysis: Demonstrate the impact of Continuous Improvement initiatives through the use of before-and-after analysis tools, ensuring measurable benefits are achieved.

  • Sustainability Monitoring: Ensure the sustainability of implemented Continuous Improvement tools by developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams in the execution of Continuous Improvement projects, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Action Planning: Collaborate with operational areas to develop and implement action plans based on analysis and indicators such as Time and Movements and Value Stream Mapping.

  • External Collaboration: Act as a CI coach to our 3PL partners, providing guidance and support in the execution of CI projects and the adoption of new methodologies.

  • Workshops & Training: Lead Business Management System (BMS) workshops to educate and motivate teams on CI principles and practices.

  • Warehousing & Efficiency: Focus on reducing lead times and increasing efficiency in warehousing activities.

  • Cross-Factory Collaboration: Work with other BIC factories to standardize processes and promote sustainable development across the organization.

What you'll bring to BIC:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a CI role within a manufacturing environment, with a track record of successfully leading CI projects and driving measurable improvements.

  • Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF) and a good understanding of statistical tools (Minitab is a plus).

  • Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and navigate complex environments.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage resistance to change.

  • Upper-Intermediate level of English, Fluent Slovak

  • Education: Secondary school graduate with leaving exam/Bachelor’s degree/Masters degree, with relevant CI certifications being a strong advantage.

  • Additional: A valid driver's license is appreciated.
