Brief Job Overview

This is a non-supervisory position responsible for supporting customer development and outreach to tier 3 and tier 4 all over India. By developing personal working relationships with our customers and stakeholders, SCD grows customers’ awareness, understanding and preference for USP products and services which will help to achieve USP’s annual goals and objectives of SCD. The position has the primary responsibility of answering queries, making proactive phone calls and collaborating with SCD managers for seamless transformation of information and data.

The Sales Support Role has the following responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up and outbound cold calls/emails to Tier 3 and Tier 4 customers.

  • To do targeted promotion of new product lines to customers every month and update those insights in sales force.

  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts

  • Profiling a customer list based on the conversations with Tier 3 & Tier 4 customers and track their performance in sales force on a regular basis.

  • Promote upcoming user forums/live webinars and education programs to potential customers generated through lead follow up.

  • Provide customer support by forwarding technical queries to scientific liaison or RS tech team.

  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.

  • Conduct user forums and specific trainings to inside sales customers to advocate the usage of USP offerings and cater to the training requirements of customers.

  • For MSME customers, create awareness about USP’s products & services, provide access to documentary standards and promote training programs as per calendar setup by USP Education Team

Who is USP Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years experience in customer facing role and must have worked in inside sales function.
