POSITION: SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT LOCATION: INDEPENDENCE, OH INDUSTRY: MANUCATURING A growing manufacturing company located in Independence, OH is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their well established team. This is an in-office position. This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller and works cross-functionally throughout the organization to help maintain, revise, and develop key financial procedure Key Responsibilities * Prepare and post journal entries, analytics, reporting, and reconciliations for month-end close. * Lead annual physical inventory audit; maintain month-end inventory balances and analyze variances. * Maintain fixed assets subledger documentation and calculations. * Prepare banking and regulatory filings and maintain documents. * Monitor internal controls for effectiveness and drive process improvements. * Ensure timely tax filings and act as company liaison. * Participate in annual budgeting process. * Provide financial insights and recommendations through ad-hoc reports. * Serve as a business partner across the organization. Requirements & Skills * Minimum 3 years experience (public/manufacturing preferred). * Strong understanding of GAAP. * Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and report generation. * Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. * Motivated self-starter in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to multitask with minimal supervision. * Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. * Excellent attention to Education * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
