Ohio Farmers Insurance Company Information Security Engineer in Seville, Ohio

The Information Security Engineer will play a key role in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents to ensure the protection of the organization's information assets/infrastructure. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to safeguard the organization. Monitor security alerts using advanced security information and event management (SIEM) technologies. Engages in incident response activities, including conducting security incident investigations, collecting evidence, and coordinating with internal and external entities to effectively respond to and recover from security incidents. Work alongside server, network and desktop operation support and necessary stakeholders in effectively investigating and remediating incidents and security related events. Perform threat hunting and investigations into potential threats based on log data and provide the results of the analysis to management. Develop automated security incident response playbooks to enhance the efficiency of security operations. Keeps abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, recommending appropriate security measures and technologies to strengthen the company's security posture. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and business units, to develop and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures that conform to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in Information Security or Information Technology. Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years experience working in a Security Operations Center or incident response handler. Experience with mainstream security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM & SOAR systems) Proficiency in Python programming. Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and zero-trust security principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient communication and collaboration skills. Availability to provide 24-hour on-call support as needed.
