Providence St. Joseph Health CNA - Med Surg Acute in Seward, Alaska

The primary role of the CNA II is to provide care to residents living at Seward Mountain Haven. They will protect, sustain, and nurture elders by providing assistance with activities of daily living and other needs as needed or required. The core goal of the CNA's work is to provide assistance in a manner that promotes a quality of life.

Nursing services delivered by the CNA under the scope of their practice are supervised by and report to the licensed nurses in the home and is directly accountable to the Manager LTC Nursing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training Successful completion of Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, and Dining Assistance within four months of hire.

  • Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License

  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months Experience as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or personal care attendant in long term care or hospital.
