Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is looking for journey level Structural Engineers in the Spokane commuting area for our upcoming satellite design and engineering office in Spokane, Washington.

A NAVFAC Structural Engineer provides independent, timely, and professional structural engineering products, services, and consultation, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Coprs, and other Supported Commands. Customer activities have varied missions requiring facility types, ranging from administrative and housing facilities to complex industrial and operational facilities. Projects are challenging and exciting and include specific projects, special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization, and facilities development.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer
- 5+ years of Structural Engineering experience
- Valid State Driver's License
- SECRET Clearance
Additional Position Information: Structural Engineer
- Perform structural analysis and prepare structural designs and specifications for facility projects using structural analysis software, AutoCad, and BIM.
- Assess structural condition of facilities to develop recommendations for necessary repairs and modifications.
- Compose technical written and oral correspondence to communicate designs, plans and objectives to management officials, staff, and customers.
- Review structural designs of projects prepared by in-house designers, AE firms, or Design-Build firms for completeness, technical adequacy, functional design, sound engineering practice, and compliance with applicable design criteria.
- Ensure that the structural aspects of the project are constructed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
Requirements for all NAVFAC Positions:
- A US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
- Males registered or exempt from Selective Service www.sss.gov
- Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will need to pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
