What is the Job all about?
Resource will work closely with the CBS APAC team to develop pricing initiative and optimize pricing to maximize profitability and market share. Responsible for providing the accurate analysis and forecast information to product demand from our customers.
Your main responsibilities:
Develop, recommend, and implement pricing strategy for CBS APAC region to maximize profitability, including but not limited to the annual price review process.
Work closely with Regional Sales Head and Area Sales Heads in entire pricing process from price strategy, price execution, the main deliverable is to formulate list prices, in relation to price list impact to sales performance and profitability.
To ensure commercial viability of listed prices in various customers’ platforms
Maintain various customer-facing pricing platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance and cross-divisional alignment.
Monthly Performance Monitoring & Reporting- On a monthly basis, track and report on pricing effectiveness, present findings and recommend adjustments to sales leaders to make a data driven decision. Accountable for achieving the annual net price impact committed during the budget process.
Support Sales Team - Train and support sales teams on pricing strategy and optimization to achieve desired profitability.
Collaborate with Global Commercial Excellence and Marketing Teams in roll out global pricing initiatives (e.g. Pricing Transformation Project, list pricing optimization, market insights)
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align pricing strategies and promotional activities.
Support the pricing strategy.
Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for the time horizon between 0-18months]
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast results.
Contribute input in the SIOP Cycle
Interact with sales, marketing and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with sales and marketing to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
Provide input to the Supply Chain organization in developing inventory tactical plan on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Your background:
University or college degree in business administration or related field
Minimum 5 years developing pricing initiatives within a manufacturing business.
Solid knowledge and experience of the plans, implementing defined processes in the division.
Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems where applicable.
Analytical skills - Strong analytical skills to collect data and extract meaningful insights, go beyond surface levels to identify underlying factors influencing the pricing performance and impact, forecast accuracy.
Analytical skills - Ability to use dashboard, charts & graphs to communicate data insights to stakeholders in an accessible manner, to facilitate better understanding and buy in from stakeholders.
Analytical skills - Strong interpretation in data study to guide decisions. Proficient in applying problem-solving and prioritization techniques (e.g. Pareto analysis) for data-driven decision-making.
Effective Communication - ability to present the finding in effective and clear way.
Effective Communications - key communicator in both verbal and written forms.
Business and Finance Acumen – ability to understand the CBS business strategy & direction, assess how business decisions affect the overall finance result.
Good understanding of basic pricing principles, Grundfos pricing structures & principles
Excellent in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work with required pricing tools which are cascaded from Group Pricing Team, eg: BW report, Vendavo.
