Gamma Vacuum is seeking a Full Time, On-Site, R&D Engineer in our Shakopee, Minnesota Product Company.The R&D Engineer will be responsible for working closely with engineering, production, and marketing teams to develop new products and customize exisiting ones. Main Responsibilities: Develop new products and technologies from concept to production Design complex mechanical components, assemblies, and systems Create engineering drawings, reports, and presentations Conduct thorough analysis, build prototypes, develop test plans, and conduct tests to verify and validate new designs Conduct designed experiments and process collected data to comprehensible records and overviews Align with cross-functional team including electrical engineering and software engineering to ensure designs integrate into overall system architecture Collaborate closely with other departments including manufacturing and project management to communicate needs, clear project roadblocks, accomplish tasks, and align work with company priorities Manage own time and lead projects when required To use rigorous problem-solving techniques and methods using appropriate tools and methods Participate in technical design reviews, providing feedback to enhance quality and performance Education level: Bachelor's degree inengineering,science or equivalent working experience. Knowledge areas/Skills: Strong understanding of engineering principles including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science and the ability to intuitively and effectively utilize them Strong analytical and problem-solving skills HW/SW/Measurement knowledge, quality tools experience Effective communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts across the organization Able to prioritize several concurrent projects and multitask. Action-oriented self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy/efficiency Preferred: experience running projects.
