Advanced Scientist - PSA/RLC
Position Summary:
Closely working with technology, sales, marketing, ADE team to develop innovative PSA/RLC products/solutions
Job Description:
Develop new silicone-based compositions and materials addressing the needs of a growing portfolio of adhesives, coatings and specialty materials within a Global R&D Team.
Interface with and assist MPM’s customers in China, East Asia and SEA, translate unmet customer needs into technical requirements for the design of differentiated products addressing regional and global markets.
Develop solid understanding of patent landscape and effectively contribute to obtaining patent coverage for proprietary technology and processes.
Effectively manage planning, execution and alignment of multiple projects from inception through assistance with scale-up and commercialization.
Additional Details:
MS in Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry, or Materials Science/Chemistry/Chemical engineering with demonstrated emphasis on chemistry.
Minimum 5 years-experience in the coatings industry in a product development role
Acceptable oral and written communication skills in English a must.
Demonstrated successful interaction with multidisciplinary teams in a product development role, as evidenced by commercial or near-commercialization products, trade, conferences or similar technical publications.
Demonstrated creativity in devising innovative products resulting from close interaction with customers.
