What you’ll do

The Commercial Compliance Manager China will be mainly responsible for monitoring and executing the Cytiva Commercial Compliance Program in China.. Specific tasks:

  • Channel Partner Compliance Management

  • Implement robust policies and procedures through which Cytiva engages 3rd party distributors (Channel Partners) to promote and sell Cytiva products and services.

  • Partner with Indirect Channel Leaders within the Business to ensure a joined-up approach to managing potential risks associated with Channel Partners, including the resolution of red flags and continuous monitoring.

  • Conduct due diligence checks on 3rd parties and complete approval processes pursuant to company Channel Partner program and compliance policies.

  • Customer Interactions

  • Implement robust policies and procedures that govern the way in which the Cytiva business interacts with our customers including Healthcare Professionals and Government Officials.

  • Partner with business owners and requestors to ensure a joined-up approach to the documentation, review, approval of interactions for example: sponsorships, promotional events, donations, customer collaborations and other transfers of value that has potential compliance risks.

  • The role is also responsible for any local transparency reporting requirements which Cytiva may be subject to.

  • Auditing and Monitoring:

  • Execute the Auditing and Monitoring plan based on identified risk areas by applying insightful analysis of selected transactions and recommending suitable countermeasures where there are audit findings.

  • Training & Communications

  • Deliver effective legal and compliance training and communication to both business users and 3rd parties, and conduct train the trainer sessions as appropriate.

  • Lead regular Channel Partner Review Boards with key Cytiva stakeholders to drive a dynamic compliance operating rhythm and promote a strong compliance culture.

  • Investigations and Corrective Action

  • Conduct, manage and support compliance investigations, and interface with cross-functional business teams on the development and execution of timely corrective actions and risk mitigation plans.

  • System support

  • Day to Day management and implementation of global legal and compliance systems including user support and user training, applying data analytics to monitor correct usage and compliance with the policy and system maintenance and improvement tasks. Implement core compliance metrics and facilitate ongoing data collection, analysis, and follow-up.

  • General Compliance:

  • Provide occasional support to China General Counsel and Cytiva Chief Compliance Officer on other compliance areas as required

Who you are

  • BA/BS degree or global equivalent in Law, Finance, IT, Business or equivalent

  • A minimum of 7 years of Legal/Compliance/Regulatory/Audit or Risk experience, preferably within the Healthcare or Lifesciences industry

  • Experience in managing compliance programs in a regulated environment including third party distributors (Channel Partners) compliance

  • Strong organizational, project management and prioritization skills, ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Ability to build strong relationships with local senior management supported by excellent influencing, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to use influencing skills and experience to build a bridge between local senior management and the global compliance function

  • Ability to make independent decisions based on analysis and interpretation of global policies vs local requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present at all levels. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese

  • Strong data analytics skills: developing data collection systems, using quantitative analysis to assess compliance performance and drive management action

  • Proficient with Excel and other relevant office systems
