WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As our Energy Footwear Director, you will be responsible for energizing our industry’s most coveted footwear icons and franchises. You will lead and drive team excellence and product excellence at all stages of the product creation process. You will be responsible for building a team culture centered on a one-team mentality as a cross-functional partner and product management people leader. You will lead by example in every aspect of the job and work X-FOP, X-Gender, and X-Functionally inside and outside of merchandising team to achieve business results related to driving energy in footwear, profitability, and productivity. You will monitor progress against Energy’s macro strategy and workload capacity to ensure product excellence is prioritized. You will be accountable for tracking business results and communicating to the broader team. You must understand icon/franchise management and demonstrate astute financial judgment in making key decisions. You’ll also be responsible for creating and delivering impactful presentations during internal and external meetings on a regular cadence.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will report to the VP of Merchandising . The critical peer relationships will span x-functionally across GM, Design, Product Creation, Merchandising, Marketing, and Entertainment Marketing. Enterprise leadership will be a critical capability for this role x-brand inclusive of Nike Catalyst and Converse Energy

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Creativity and passion for sneakers

  • Ability to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of Lifestyle Footwear (tastes, habits, preferences, interests & behaviors)

  • An appreciation for culture, style, luxury and streetwear

  • Experience monitoring and understanding trends, and applying that understanding to your work

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training with an ability to translate consumer and marketplace insights into actionable strategies and plans

  • 10 years experience in a product, merchandising, buying, sales, trend, or style-related role

  • Ability to demonstrate a general understanding of footwear construction

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively

  • Attention to detail and deadlines

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally.
