Responsibilities

EHS Audit Management:

  • Support the coordination of internal EHS audits in TCM / APAC as planned with global EHS.

  • To be qualified as a regional EHS auditor. Perform EHS compliance audits at Boehringer facilities as well as in supply chain.

  • Good audit findings and report writing, clarify potential EHS gaps and with the principle of “careful communication”.

  • Positive audit approach and always seek to add-value for the organization.

  • Give recommendations in corrective and preventive actions.

  • Support CAPA follow-up. Follow the CAPAs from global internal audits and ISO audits. Monitoring and technical support in the implementation of internal audits.

  • Coordinate suppliers & CMOs to submit the CAPA update. Technical clarifications on the potential gaps in the CAPA update as identified.

  • Act as an expert of local EHS legal requirements. Support Boehringer sites in identifying applicable legal requirements.

  • Join the EHS technical assessment and early-stage assessment for new supplier development.

  • Good collaboration Boehringer functions, e.g., international scouring group, CoC, and global EHS.

  • EHS support in Capex projects from regional EHS.

  • Support supplier EHS training program, e.g., with PSCI.

  • Other compliance relevant tasks assigned by line manager or global EHS.

Regional EHS Projects:

  • Establish and maintain the ISO45001 &14001 certification program over APAC.

  • Manage the TCM internal auditor training and development based on ISO45001 &14001 certification.

  • Lead global EHS Projects and initiatives and lead the execution portion in APAC.

  • EHS training program from region layer for both employees and EHS team.

  • Maintain, improve and establish regional procedures and guidance.

  • Lead global programs from local, like process safety programs, regional / country administer of EHS database (Sofi).

  • Support global digitalization programs and implementation in region.

  • Support the ISO certification program in other countries of APAC.

  • Coordinate the regional EHS communications and events, e.g., the annual conferences, regional webpages etc.

  • Other relevant tasks assigned by line manager

Requirements:

University, (Bachelor degree above.), major/focus one of following:

  • Natural Science (e.g., biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical degrees)

  • Engineering (e.g., chemical engineering, safety engineering, environmental engineering).

  • Sustainability relevant.

  • Industrial Hygiene, occupational health.

  • Similar work experience for 5 years. A sound background in pharmaceutical, chemical or biological industry.

  • The EHS role should be a good team player and embody strong positive EHS-culture. Good at communication and understand diversity.

  • In-depth knowledge of national / local EHS-regulations.

  • Supply chain EHS and CSR / Sustainability audit experience. (Full time or part time)
