We are looking for:
A scientist, based in China, work in an open and passionate team aiming at developing new additive solutions to serve customers.
We count on you for:
Project management – to meet timeline and innovation goals
Undertake the development of new products/formulations and new applications by applying the knowledge of surfactants, polymers, solvents, etc, to meet the customer needs, with special focus on solid agricultural formulations.
Lead scouting-work activities to identify potential technologies/techniques and/or processes
Contribute to maximizing the efficiency and achievements of project teams by meeting time, quality and cost targets
Ensure accurate records of experimental work and report results in a clear and logical manner.
Develop new methodologies and application tests relevant for the positioning of products in development
Should be comfortable in working with multidisciplinary teams (technology, synthesis, Production, analytical), troubleshoot & explore of new applications & product/s
Preparation of presentations and communication to stakeholders
Laboratory management
Ensure proper housekeeping and systematic records of experiment results
Use of electronic lab notebook and use other digital tools for data management
Ensure traceability and repeatability of experiment results
Improve technical service quality and competency
Improve and emphasize laboratory safety
Manage the purchase and calibration of laboratory equipment, consumables as well as sourcing of raw materials
Integration into global R&D/ technical network
Interact, collaborate constantly with R&I teams in Asia and also other zones
To facilitate innovation transfers across zones, and speed-up innovation delivery
Technical service
Show deep customer intimacy
Visiting customers, managing & delivering projects from customers on time. Following up & Co-ordinating with them & working in line with the business team for project success & commercialization
Support sales team to resolve product and application related complaints and actively involved in trouble shooting
Reinforce business relationship with customers
Develop knowledge of customers' technologies and processes, and competitive products and help to identify new opportunities and to initiate new projects
Assist sales representatives to explore new market and business potential

You will bring:
PhD in Chemistry or Physico-Chemistry in research and innovation department, or Masters with minimum 5-8 years related experience
Good team player
Have good work ethics as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Pro-active and high achievement drive
External outlook and customer intimacy
Innovation mindset, risk taking ability
Excellent communication skills
Fluent oral and written English is highly desired
