The Opportunity :

We're seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer with a passion for transforming data from our new Supply Chain Solutions product into actionable insights for our sellers and shippers. This team builds solutions for customers who use Flexport’s emerging Order Management systems to connect with their suppliers and contractors, putting you at the center of defining new processes, consolidating data, and developing supply chain insights. This role is perfect for someone passionate about building datasets and dashboards for enterprise workflows and understanding global supply chain. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with engineering, business, and product stakeholders to dive deep into existing data, help define new data needed to answer client/supplier questions, and build dashboards/reports to inform and drive behavior within Flexport and with our seller/shippers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with our customers to gain a deep understanding of their supply chain needs and how Flexport can use our data to help answer their questions

  • Work closely with our business, operations, and technology teams to build datasets, metrics and reports to make data driven decisions

  • Become a domain expert: Understand the market, competitive landscape, and how Flexport fits into it all

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define product requirements and translate them into effective design solutions for new products focused on order management and booking management tools.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Engineer, Product Analyst, or similar role

  • Strong SQL fluency required – you will be building complex logic to extract and transform data into actionable insights. Experience with Looker and Snowflake a plus.

  • Experience collaborating with business, product, engineering teams to define and develop operational and product metrics.

  • Executive communication skills and empathy to understand and discover business pain points and build solutions to improve the user experience at all levels of the global trade process

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
