Position Type Management


  • Responsible to develop the Premium & Select Brand strategy in Greater China, to drive brand health

  • Drive on brand experiences. Partner with the respective global brand teams to align on brand programs and initiatives in GC.

  • Work with regional, area and hotel operations teams to ensure exceptional delivery of guest experience that creates consistent Brand preference, market share and topline performance.

  • Acts as the Brand Leader. Constantly monitor brand performance and develop appropriate actions with the relevant cross function teams

  • Identify where and how to grow brands and drive brand relevancy in China.

  • Partner with, not limited to, Marketing, Loyalty, DDO, F&B, Global Design, Feasibility and Development teams to drive stronger understanding and knowledge of what each brand represents, and ultimately increase Brand equity.


Education and Experience

  • Prior Lifestyle brand management experience and brand management & growth knowledge is an advantage.

  • 10 or more years of management experience, supervising and mentoring staff; international work experience strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of China hospitality landscape, both from consumer and investor lens.

  • Languages: Proficiency in English required and proficiency in reading and writing in Chinese

  • Knowledge of collaboration efforts with global brand management team is preferred

  • Experience with establishing and managing budgets.

  • Experience in managing and directing strategic partners / agencies / vendors.

  • Good presentation and communication skills

  • Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to take complex projects and efforts from conception to successful execution.

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.


Brand Strategy & Planning

  • Lead Greater China Premium and Select Brand Strategy, identify where and how to grow the brands.

  • Underpin market trends to evolve brand programs and deliver best guest experiences to enhance brand health.

  • Partner with development to drive on strategy brand growth.

  • Partner with global brand team to provide market inputs and own brand localization efforts.

  • Own brand positioning + value proposition in Greater China. Lead brand transformations + launches

Brand Portfolio Growth

  • Partner with development, global design, feasibility to educate/communicate about brand strategy, positioning, strategic pillars, etc to enable quality growth.

  • Partner with development, asset management, OFS, owner comms, etc to market brand to owners/investors community, to drive brand understanding and preference.

  • Provide opening brand support for new hotels. Provide guidance to hotel opening teams to ensure branded critical path document for openings and conversions are developed and maintained.

Brand Guest Experience Operations & Culture

  • Responsible to communicate regular brand updates and Brand education to the field and hotels.

  • Partner with HR on Talent + culture programs, GM onboarding.

  • Brand standard review and update. Responsible for the effective pull-through and localization of new brand initiatives in GC

  • Work closely with properties and regional/area operations to ensure on-brand implementation of brand operating standards, procedures, and brand programs.

  • Brand toolkit to empower hotel for brand activation, brand partnership, etc.

  • Partner with brand marketing to elevate brand awareness/preference in the market.

  • Owner and Approver of Brand photography, contents and assets in continent.

  • Understand and activate relevant Brand Partnerships that enhance Brand Positioning, resulting in stronger Brand equity.

  • Partner with OFS to provide brand support to franchised hotels.
