VF Corporation Senior Manager, Merchandising in Shanghai, China

Key Area of Responsibility:

Develop merchandising strategy to drive business growth

  • Plan the APAC strategy with global consistency and APAC market needs

  • Work with global team for seasonal product plan and GTM milestones

  • Be a strong advocate for APAC product needs (e.g. seasonal collaborations) to support business growth

  • Drive product efficiency and productivity, develop channel segmentation with key focus in China

  • Identify product and category opportunities based on consumer insights, market study and call-outs from business team

  • Manage APAC retail pricing structure and gross margin, closely monitor competitor’s pricing strategy and product performance

  • Support key distributors (Korea, Japan and Thailand) on product request (e.g. Japan Exclusive)

  • Analyze product performance for key learnings and plan for next season

  • Set the product assortment and strategy, work closely with Buying and Planning team for seasonal plan

  • Lead and coach Merchandising team, set individual and team goals, provide guidance and regular feedback to develop talent
