A day in the Life:
Lead the standardization of mechanical design processes, optimizing standard methodologies.
Plan and complete key projects, ensuring they meet functionality, performance, and quality standards.
Develop robust engineering plans, providing regular progress reports.
Drive resolution of high-priority issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
Foster a culture of learning by coordinating technical training sessions.
Keys to Success:
Serve as a technical expert providing engineering solutions and specifications.
Ensure timely project delivery, meeting specifications and staying within the target cost.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams and external partners to successfully implement engineering plans.
Education
- You should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. You need at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience will also be considered.
Experience
Proficiency in using 3D CAD software, specifically Solidworks.
Expertise in applying DFx knowledge to mechanical designs.
Deep knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Solid engineering solutions development using industry-leading tools.
Effective problem-solving in ambiguous situations with multi-functional teams.
Strong sense of accountability and attitude geared towards achieving goals.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Work primarily in an office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing and research facilities.
