Nike Senior Merchant, Social Commerce, GC in Shanghai, China

Role Purpose:

Focus on consumer, delivering curated, productive and digital connected assortments. Build Assortments for Social Commerce Channels including Douyin and Wechat, leading the geo products adoption for GC consumers. Deliver on merchandising strategy and distinctive assortment direction for platform business team, membership team, and key social commerce and digital function teams. Drives the one team philosophy through partnership with social commerce and digital functional teams and geo merchandising teams.

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop the marketplace annual/seasonal merchandising plans to support a distinctive assortment and membership offense with speed and responsiveness.

  • Adopt and assort for GC marketplace and social commerce marketplace, working with Planning on the seasonal OTB buy plan.

  • Partner with MPU merchandising team to provide integrated product insights to consumer gender team to fulfil marketplace product needs.

  • Partner with Platform function team to drive business growth and optimize consumer experience

Deliverables:

  • Deliver and participate in the key corporate gates and Consumer Code deliverables.

  • Deliver Geo product direction with the Brand team to tell deeper stories and ensure localization needs are delivered

  • Bringing 13-weeks to live through digital journey through partnership with brand and platform.

  • Ensure assortments support financial targets in partnership with Planning and Analytics

  • Read and react to in season analytics and identify opportunities to adapt current business and inform future assortments, merchandising strategies and strategic initiatives driven by member mindsets

  • Partner with Consumer and other MPU team to get after product opportunities to serve GC consumer needs.
