Job Description

The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Workforce Administration (WFA) Specialist, within Human Resources (HR). The HR Solutions organization will be responsible for the design and delivery of innovative solutions to all employees and leaders. HR Solutions roles will contain deep subject-matter expertise in order to consult on programs, processes and people. Job Overview:

Sr. Workforce Administration (WFA) Specialist is empowered to support and perform HR operations required enable HR business processes and drive a best-in-class Employee and Candidate Experience. This role will also support Workforce Administration (WFA) event planning, implementation and delivery for APAC.

Accountabilities

  • Support employee lifecycle activities including pre-onboarding, onboarding, transfer, separation, reporting etc. in Japan.

  • Engage with third party providers to establish, develop and review the suite of services in Japan WFA.

  • Provide oversight to Korea WFA activities, identify and deliver E2E solutions to HR, employees and people leaders and address escalated inquiries.

  • Drive continuous improvement process and drive cross discipline projects for APAC with limited supervisory.

  • Initiate Knowledge Base and Case Management content updates.

  • Act as the APAC Position Management and Data Privacy focal and work closely with global team to address escalations.

  • Provide information and insights to Global Experience Leader, APAC Regional HR Directors and Regional Discipline Team Leaders to continuously improve Knowledge Base and Case Management content.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years in Human Resources or relevant experience in MNC business environment.

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Japanese and English are essential. Korean language skills would be a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability leveraging a variety of technology to support inquiry resolution (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow, MS Office), experience with data analytics would be advantageous.

  • Highly skilled in effectively interacting with and supporting all levels of employees effectively and proactively.

  • Capable of multi-tasking and managing competing priorities effectively.

  • Critical problem-solving skills, and able to use appropriate judgment in escalation or when to involve other resources in decision making or processing

  • Ability to work collaboratively, self-driven, and accountable.
