Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

  • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 1 year of experience in Android development.

  • Experience working in one or more of the following: web or mobile application development, and software systems.

  • Experience in developing java and android tests.

  • Ability to learn coding languages.

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of tech stacks including Android/Java application development and Google back-end systems. You will be leading the effort to incorporate the Near-Field Communication (NFC) and Board Support Package (BSP) solutions to determine installation and software update progress and status. You will coordinate across multiple teams. You will develop and maintain Java-based and Android-based applications and integration with other Google systems.

  • Work closely with partner teams such as Mobile App Development, Mobile Connectivity, Product Operations in the whole application development cycle from design, implementation, to launch.

  • Participate in the design of experiments in factories.

  • Investigate production issues and work with the team to improve the solution for the long-term.

  • Maintain a high quality, performance, and reliability bar for the application our team develops.

  • Design and implement Java-based and Android-based solutions to optimize the factory production process.
