JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for leading, coaching, and training production employees while ensuring a safe, quality meat product is produced. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting machinery and processes while suggesting solutions and monitors product quality to establish standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Assist in the direction of production operations. Responsible for product quality, workmanship, and methods applications resulting in above standard economical manufacturing costs and general line coordination. Coordinates the training of Line Leaders to maintain a work force that is above standard in skill requirements, output and daily schedules. Plan and assigns daily production targets tasks and assignments. Assures proper completion through follow up. Assists in monitoring department output, though the analysis of reports, and comparison of historical data. Assist in adjusting strategies. Assist in creation and/or modification of training procedures, department specification, and standard operating procedures. Acts in an advisory role to Supervisor and Manager in assessing employee performance along with finding resolution to employee conflicts/issues. Performs mid to complex level maintenance and trouble shooting of machines and related equipment (equipment used for product bread down [clipper tables, link cutters, Magnuson, etc.], label machines, vacuum pumps, case sealing equipment, computer printers, etc.) Takes responsibility of work area to produce a safe and quality food product. Reports all food safety related problems to your manager and to the QA dept. in order to initiate immediate action. May fill in or flex to production area positions, including Acting Supervisor, Line Leader, or Pack off Roles. Completes other duties and projects as assigned by the department supervisor or manager, including but not limited to; process improvements, cost savings, and efficiencies. In the event that the person in this position is absent, he/she will be replaced by a person properly trained to perform such duties.
